New Fitness Studio Boom Cycle Opens in May

Offering 'party on a bike' at 10 Hammersmith Grove

A new fitness studio called Boom Cycle is moving into 10 Hammersmith Grove in May.

The studio, which says it offers indoors riders a 'party on a bike' is taking over the remaining space on the ground and mezzanine floor of the building, opposite Lyric Square, which was earmarked to become a restaurant.

Boom Cycle, which already has two studios in Shoreditch and Holborn and which also plans to open in Battersea Power Station, offers a programme designed by Hilary Rowland and Robert Rowland.

Boom Cycle says the studio will be kitted out with state-of-the-art Funktion-One sound systems and top of the line Schwinn bikes and facilities on offer will enable riders to let loose on the bike, socialise with friends, work from their fully equipped communal area or simply kick back and relax post class.

Robert Rowland says: " Hilary and I are so excited to embark on this next leap of Boom Cycle’s journey. We started in humble beginnings with our original studio that we built ourselves, to six years later opening flagship sites in two of our top priority locations.

" It’s been a long but thrilling ride and being able to deliver Boom Cycle’s message of a fun and empowering workout to London’s riders has been an honour and a joy and we can’t wait to spread."

The last available space in the building, on the site of the NCP car park opposite Lyric Square, has been taking by FOX International Channels (UK) Limited and Philip Morris Limited, the UK affiliate of global tobacco company Philip Morris International.

Fox International Channels, or FIC will occupy one and a half floors of the building, Philip Morris Ltd, or PML has taken space across the top three floors, and these offices wil be their new UK headquarters.

They will join broadcaster UKTV hotels group Accor, who signed up earlier this year.

The eight storey 10 Hammersmith Grove has become an iconic part of Hammersmith town centre, with two restaurants Byron and Bill’s on the ground floor. A third restaurant space is still to be le.

Construction is now underway at 12 Hammersmith Grove, the second phase of development, which is due to be completed early in 2016.
