Brook Green Day is Here on Saturday September 17

With dog show, food, music and fun for the whole family from noon

This Saturday, September 17 is Brook Green Day, when the community will gather for an afternoon of family fun organised by the Friends of Brook Green.

Last year the fair was attended by over 3,500 people and resulted in record takings by the Friends of Brook Green, all of which is ploughed back into sustaining this treasured green space.

Like last year the 2016 Programme will run from 12 noon till 6pm, with events including a dog show, food stalls, non food retail including a focus on local artists, musicians and other attractions as well as a number of rides.

The Friends organise and host the annual fair on Brook Green’s western lawn each year with the aim of fostering a sense of community while also raising funds for the renewal and improvement of the Green.

Visitors will also be able to see progress made on the Pavilion at the centre of the Green. Building began in spring on the natural stone-clad building designed by architects De Rosee Sa, which will provide visitors a cafe, accessible toilets and an outdoor seating area.
