Woman's Face Slashed With Stanley Knife


Attacked happened during fight at Edward's on Hammersmith Broadway

A 25 year old woman had her face slashed by a stanley knife after she was attacked during a fight at Edward's on Hammersmith Broadway.

The incident happened at 02.10 on Sunday 25th March during an altercation between approximately 15 men aged between 20 to 25 years old.

In the course of the disturbance, the woman was grabbed, put into a headlock and hit her in the face with a Stanley knife causing her to sustain an inch and a half wound to the left hand side of her nose.

The suspect was pointed out to officers who attended the scene and he was arrested. Upon searching him a lock knife covered in blood was found in his waistband.

The suspect, a 23 year old black male, was arrested for wounding with intent and being in possession of a pointed or bladed article in a public place and is now helping police with their enquiries.

The victim was taken by ambulance to hospital where she received treatment for her injuries.
