80s Pop Star Flees Hammersmith Home

Former member of Five Star 'fears attack' by father

Stedman Pearson, who had a string of hits in the eighties with Five Star was forced to move to a safe location after the door of his Hammersmith home was kicked in.

It is alleged that his father Buster Pearson, who used to manage the group which was comprised of members of the family, told Stedman that he had a gun and was planning to shoot him. According to a report in the Mirror Newspaper the threat was made by mobile phone. The paper quotes a 'close friend' as saying, "Stedman is moving on with his life but his father finds that very difficult to handle and is basically a very angry man."

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said that CID were investigating an allegation of threats to kill.
