Hammersmith gang members sentenced for attack


Friend of Kodjo beaten up in Shepherd's Bush Market

 Four members of the gang which killed schoolboy Kodjo Yenga have been sentenced for an attack on his 16-year-old friend.

Boiling water was poured on the boy after he was chased and beaten up in a shop in Shepherd's Bush Market, the Old Bailey heard.

The victim was treated in hospital but had recovered  without visible scars.

The attack in February 2007, was two weeks before Kodjo, 16, was attacked and stabbed by members of the Kill Dem Pussies gang in Hammersmith.

Michael Perry, 16, was given three years detention with an extended period on licence of a year.

Sean Patterson, 18, was given a two year custodial sentence.

Akelle Charles and Benjamin Broom, both 17, were given two years detention.

All the defendants pleaded guilty to the charges and came from west London.
