Witnesses wanted after woman knifed in broad daylight

Officers from Hammersmith CID are appealing for witnesses and information following a serious stabbing incident in Hammersmith.

The incident happened at 2pm on 15th August outside the Apollo Theatre in Hammersmith Broadway.

It appears at this stage, the 21 year old female was in conversation with another female and a male when she was stabbed in the stomach.

The victim was taken to a West London Hospital in what was originally believed to be a life threatening condition. She remains in hospital in a critical but stable condition.

The female suspect is described as a light skinned black woman around 18 years old, of a slim build and 5ft 5" tall. She made off on foot.

Later the same day officers investigating the stabbing arrested a 21 year old man at a residential address near to the location. He was arrested on suspicion of GBH and is currently in custody at a West London Police station. On Monday 18th August an 18 year old woman attended a police station and was arrested on suspicion of GBH. Sarah Harper of Yeldham House, Yeldham Road, Hammersmith, W6, has been charged with section 18 GBH. She was remanded in custody to appear at West London Magistrates Court.
