Man evacuated from house fire


Fire engines called out to West Kensington

Firefighters are investigating a blaze in West Kensington after a house in Ceylon Road went up in flames.

 

Crews were called out at 11.25am and had to rescue a man, who was led to safety by firefighters wearing breathing apparatus.

 

He was treated for smoke inhalation at the scene of the fire by London Ambulance crews.

 

Two women also left the house before the firefighters arrived at the scene.

 

The fire was under control by 11.55am, leaving part of the first floor damaged.

 

Fire crews from Hammersmith and North Kensington fire stations attended the incident. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
