Homes Evacuated after Gas Leak in Sinclair Gardens


Cordon set up around local streets due to fear of explosion

Following a gas leak in Sinclair Gardens, W14, homes and businesses in the area were evacuated. The first indication of a problem came at around 11pm on Wednesday 11th April and the all clear wasn't given until the end of the following day.

A 100 metre cordon was put in place and the following roads were closed or restricted.

Sinclair Road
Addison Gardens
Richmond Way
Bolingbroke Road
Woodstock Grove

This caused significant disruption to the surrounding area.

They were alerted at approx 23.00 on last night regarding the gas leak. Transco is on scene and dealing with the problem. As a precaution, premises in the area have been evacuated. No casualties reported.
