Body Recovered from Thames by Barnes Bridge


Believed by police to be Oswald Henderson Mapp, who had been reported missing

A body recovered from the River Thames by Barnes Bridge early on the morning of Sunday 28 August is believed to be that of a Fulham man who had been reported as missing.

Oswald Henderson Mapp has dementia and diabetes

It is thought to be 76-year-old Oswald Henderson Mapp who was last seen in Fulham on 26 August and was the subject of a media appeal.

At around 7.05am the police were informed that a body of a man had been seen in the river by Barnes Bridge.

Oswald's next of kin have been informed of this development, but formal identification awaits.
