A new sixth form college has been opened in Hammersmith catering for pupils with unique learning profiles and specific learning difficulties.

The Moat School is on Beavor Lane and will aim to provide a mainstream educational setting with a specialist teaching focus for pupils sitting through their A-Level and Btec exams.

As well as academic subjects there will be a work experience programme for all pupils included in their timetable, alongside specialist support such as Occupation Therapy and Speech and Language for those who require it built into the curriculum.

The school is the latest in new builds by the Cavendish Education Group and was opened this Monday 7 September by Simon Coles the group managing director and Aatif Hassan the founder and chairman.

Mr Hassan said, "This is a fantastic much needed provision in London being launched by The Moat School. It will enable our pupils with Unique Learning Profiles to be inspired, educated and gain qualifications in this new state of the art setting whilst having exceptional specialist support around them.”

Head of The Moat Sixth Form Steve Proctor has said “I’m extremely proud of the hard work that has gone into opening this new school and I’m extremely excited to provide the educational
setting that will allow pupils from all over to succeed for years to come”

The Moat Sixth Form is located at 23-31 Beavor Lane, Hammersmith, W6 9AR. You can contact the school directly on 0207 610 9098 or email office@moatsixthform.org.uk.
