Incident: Burglary Artifice
Date & Time: 16/05/05 6.20pm
Location: Barradell House, Netherwood Road, W14
Victim is a 55-year-old male who is wheelchair bound. A woman arrived dressed in a nurse’s outfit who stated she had come to give him a check up. She took him into the bathroom leaving the front door open. She had a bag with her that contained a stethoscope and blood pressure equipment. She began taking his blood pressure and then left the bathroom shutting the door behind her. The victim managed to get the door open and saw two black males in his living room. He shouted and they ran out of the premises. The female then walked past him, grabbed her bag and ran off. He later discovered a credit car had been taken.

The female suspect is described as black, late 20s to early 30s, pretty face with straight hair neck length with a fringe. Her hair was brownish with blond and ginger streaks. She was wearing an all in one short sleeved dark blue nurses uniform with white trim on the collar cuffs.

Incident: Burglary Artifice

Location: Sherbrooke Road, SW6
Victim is a 60-year-old female who was home alone when someone rang her doorbell. She looked through the spy hole and was shown a card which stated that the caller was from the water board. He told her there had been a water problem at some new houses down the road (there had been a couple of weeks ago) and the victim allowed the suspect access. He distracted her in the kitchen and while doing so another suspect has entered and gone upstairs. The victim heard this and went with the first suspect to investigate. Suspect two was then found in the bedroom. Both suspects then tried to leave the premises and a tussle ensure during which the victim received an injury to the top of her left hand. The suspects made off with jewellery to the value of £500.

The suspects are described as two white males aged 35 the first was 5’10” big build with dark hair. He was wearing jeans and a dark top. The other was 5’6” slim build wearing a blue shirt dark trousers and a tie.

Location: Cathnor Road, W12
Victim is a 31-year-old female who returned home to find a suspect in the basement area by her front door, and the front door almost kicked in half. She recognised his as someone regularly hanging about. She challenged him and he stated that he didn’t do the damage he was there dealing drugs to two males. He showed her a bag of cannabis to back up his story. No entry appears to have been gained to the property but £200 worth of damage was caused to the door.

Incident: Robbery
Date & Time: 11.55am
Location: Ackmar Road, SW6
Victim is a 27-year-old male who was walking along Parsons Green Lane towards New Kings Road on the way to a job interview. As he neared the junction with Ackmar Road he was approached by two suspects. One of them asked him for the time. Whilst he was distracted the other punched him on the forehead and a second strike with some sort of instrument knocked him over. The suspects then went through his pockets and stole his mobile phone valued at £100.

The suspects are described as two black youths aged 17 years. One was wearing a grey hoodie and riding a BMX bike, the other was wearing a dark baseball cap.

Incident: Theft from Motor Vehicle
Date & Time: 9pm
Location: Lillie Road, SW6
Police were called to a white male climbing out of a parked vehicle. The window had been smashed. He was carrying a suitcase, which had been in the cart. He dropped the suitcase and made off over a fence when confronted by police. The owner of the car was traced to a 36-year-old female. Property valued at £50 was stolen but further property valued at £50 was recovered. The damage to the front nearside window of the vehicle was estimated at £150.

The suspect is described as a 13-year-old white male, 5’5” tall wearing a bark blue tracksuit.

Incident: Burglary
Date & Time: 11/05/05 1.30pm
Location: Vespan Road, W12
Victim is a 32 year old who left her home and returned to find that she was unable to gain entry by the front door as it was locked from the inside. When entry was finally gained she discovered that she had been burgled via an upstairs window, which had been left open. In total property valued at £1070 was taken, including 2 mobile phones, computer equipment and jewellery.

Incident: Fire/Suspicious Death
Date & Time: 12/05/05 3.25am
Location: Dry Cleaners, Jeddo Road, W12
Police were called to the address by neighbours and the London Fire Brigade who were dealing with an 8-pump fire at the Dry Cleaning Shop. Road closures were put in place and many of the surrounding streets were cordoned off while the LFB brought the blaze under control. Fire Investigators established that an accelerant had been used, and at 05.10am the body of a male was found inside the premises. He has not yet been identified and police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the fire.

Location: Studland Street, W6
Victim is a 28-year-old male who was asleep in bed when he woke to find a shadow standing by the window. He then realised that it was a black man.  The suspect then realised that he was awake and ran from the room closely followed by the victim dressed only in his underpants.  He lost him in Glenthorn Road and returned to his house. He later discovered that a mobile phone valued at £370 had been stolen.

The suspect is described as a black man aged about 28 years old, 5’6” with short black Afro hair of slim build.

Location: Stanford Court, Bagleys Lane, SW6
Victim is an 86-year-old female who answered the door to a man who said he was from the council and had come to check her water. He went to the kitchen and ran the tap. As he went to leave she saw another figure in the bedroom, both of them then ran off, and she later discovered that her bedroom had been searched and her savings book and cheque card had been stolen.

The main suspect is described as a white male aged about 60 years old, 5’10” tall, stocky build wearing a navy blue jacket, a shirt and blue trousers.

Date & Time: 13/05/05 4.50pm
Location: Delvino Road, SW6
Two male victims aged 19 and 18 years old were walking home when they were approached by two youths on pedal cycles who engaged them in conversation. The first victim struggled with the first suspect and was punched and head butted before his wallet was stolen. He sustained a small bruise behind his ear and a cut to his hand. The second victim handed over his wallet and mobile phone to the second suspect and was unhurt. Property to the value of £165 was taken.

The suspects are described as two black males aged about 18 years. One was 6’ tall with short black hair. He had acne on his face and forehead and was wearing a grey hooded top, and dark trousers. The other was 5’9” with a shaved head. He was wearing a navy blue hooded top and dark blue tracksuit trousers.

Incident: Attempted Robbery
Date & Time: 15/05/05 3am
Location: Galloway Road, W12
Victim is a 25-year-old female who had just been dropped off after a night out with friends when a man approached her from behind and demanded her bag. A struggle ensued and he punched her in the face. He then picked up a nearby broken pavement slab and smashed it on her head. She managed to block this blow but cut her hand in the process. The male was chased off empty handed by a witness. The victim received a minor cut to her right hand and bruising and swelling to the face but did not required medical attention.

The suspect is described as an Asian male about 20 years old, with black collar length hair, 5’8” tall and wearing dark clothing.

Location: Stanwick Road, W14
The victim is a 36-year-old male who was at home when he discovered a male inside his flat by the closed front door. He challenged the male who said he was a taxi driver looking for Tanya. On being told there was no one by that name at the address the male left. A few minutes later he was seen riding a black pedal cycle past the address by the victim. There was no sign of forced entry and nothing appears to have been taken.

The suspect is described as a black male 6’7” tall. He was wearing denim jeans rolled up at the bottom, a lilac top with a black jacket over it and a black beanie hat. He was stockily built.

Incident: Burglary Artifice

Location: Ashcroft Square, W6
Victim is an 82-year-old female who opened the door to a man. He told her he was working in the flat above and needed to turn off the water. She let him in and followed him into the kitchen. He asked where the water switch was and then selected a large pot, which he filled with water. Another man then joined them, and began to look round the kitchen. The victim took hold of her purse and then realised that neither of the man was wearing any identification. When she questioned this she was pushed out of the kitchen into the hall. They left when she threatened to call her daughter. No property appears to have been taken.

Both suspects are described as white 5’7” tall and aged about 30 years old. One was wearing a dark blue jacket and had short black hair; the other was wearing a grey round-necked jumper and had short brown hair.

Incident: Serious Assault
Date & Time: 05/05/2005 3pm
Location: Sygnergy Internet Café, Uxbridge Road, W12
Victim is a 29-year-old male who was working the café when tow men came in asking for the owner, he gave them the owners contact number and they left. A couple of hours later they returned and again asked for the owner. They were joined by a third man who also asked for the owner when he said the owner was not there he was punched in the face by the third man. The man then took out a flick knife and cut the victim on the nose and upper lip, before leaving in a black Mercedes-Benz sport coupe. The victim was treated at New Charing Cross Hospital and required 8 stitches to his nose and 2 to his top lip.

The suspects are all described as black, one was about 30, 5’7” tall, medium build wearing a brown “Harrods” cap and jeans, one was 30, 5’11” tall with black shoulder length dreadlocks and a beard and the third was about 35 years old 6’0” tall wearing a brown flat cap.

Victim is a 24-year-old female who was walking home when she noticed a red car pull up behind her. Two men then approached her and grabbed her shoulder bag. She struggled with them but they managed to get her bag from her and make off in the red car. Victim was very scared but unhurt. Property to the value of £170 was taken.

The suspects are described as white males aged about 26 years, one was 6’0” tall with blond shoulder length hair, wearing blue jeans and a red T shirt, and the other was 5’10” tall wearing jeans and a black shirt with blue flowers.

Victim is a 21-year-old male who had moved into the area from Bristol on the day of the incident. He was walking down the road when he was approached by a group of 5 or 6 males some on pedal cycles and some on foot. They asked him for a cigarette and when he said he only had roll ups one of them hit him on the head whilst two others went through his pockets. They made off with his wallet, travel pass and currency to the value of £34. The victim had a minor bruise above his left eye as a result of the attack.

The first suspect is described as a white male aged 15 years, 5’5” tall with short brown hair. He was wearing a dark hoody, dark jeans and a black bandana over his face with a white pattern on it. The second was black aged about 16 5’10” tall with short black hair. He was 5’10” tall and was also wearing a dark hoody, black tracksuit bottoms and white Reebok trainers. He had a black moustache a spotty face, and was thin built.

Incident: Burglary

Location: Marville Road, SW6
Victim is a 35-year-old female who was home alone when she heard scratching noises coming from the roof. Thinking it was the cat she thought nothing of it until she heard heavy footsteps and scrambling sound on the roof and then a tapping on the skylight in the bathroom. She was very scared and called police. It would appear than someone had gained access to the roof via scaffolding nearby but had been unable to get in through the skylight. Nothing was taken.

Householders should take extra care when scaffolding is erected anywhere near their houses as it affords the would be burglar with additional means of accessing other areas of residential properties. Always ensure that all windows and doors are kept locked even when you are inside the premises.

Incident: Theft
Date and Time: 28/04/05 10.45pm
Location: Elmo Road, W12
Victim is a 50 year-old male who suffers from epilepsy; whilst making his way to the shops he had a seizure in Askew Road. Two male passers-by approached him and assisted him home. When the victim reached his flat and opened the door the two men helped the victim to the floor, a women appeared and went into the flat with the two men. The victim then went to the toilet and when he reappeared they all left, he later realised that his mobile phone, money and tobacco had been taken from the table. The victim called his mobile phone and a lady answered but put the phone down. The value of the property stolen is £94

The first suspect is described as a white south European Female, about 25 years old of a medium build and around 5’5”. She had scars on her face and fingers and had long dark fuzzy hair. She was wearing a dark blue coat with pockets, jeans and trainers; Victim believes he heard one of the males call her ‘Mara’

The second suspect is described as a white male between 25-30 years old with shaved fair hair about 5’9” with a stocky build wearing a dark blue Nike sports jacket.

Incident: Burglary Artifice
Date and Time: 28/04/05 1.20pm
Location: Lefroy Road, W12
Victim is an 85 year-old female who was at home and disturbed by the intercom buzzer. She opened the door and was met with a man who asked her if it was ok to take some pictures of her back yard, he said that he needed the photos because he was involved in nearby building work. The victim let him in, as she knew that the work was being carried out. The victim then laid down on the settee whilst the suspect went into her kitchen, a few seconds later the suspect shouted out goodbye and left. Soon after when the victim got up to go to the front door to retrieve her post she noticed that her handbag was on the floor with her purse gone, the victim had left the handbag beside the settee and not near the front door. The suspect picked up the bag emptied it and stole some of it’s contents and left.

The value of the stolen property is £110
The suspect is described as a white male, around 40 years old 5’8” tall, with curly black hair. He was wearing a navy jumper with some sort of white pattern on it.

Incident: Robbery
Date and Time: 30/04/05 00.40am
Location: Rainville Road, W6
The two victims are 19 year-old males. Whilst sitting down by the river on a wall the two victims were approached by the two suspects who were riding mountain bikes. The suspects blocked either side of where the victims were sitting. Suspect one asked the victims for a cigarette while suspect two asked them if they wanted some weed holding bags of cannabis in his hands. Victim one was listening to his Ipod at the time and was asked by suspect one if he could see the Ipod, the victim refused and suspect one produced a small lock/flick knife with a wooden handle, he then tried to take the Ipod from the victims shirt pocket. The victim struggled with the suspect but the suspect pulled the Ipod out whilst holding the victim in a bear hug. Suspect one then waved the knife in the faces of the two victims. Victim one continued to struggle with the suspect whilst being held in a bear hug. The suspect then placed the knife in the victim’s side but not penetrating so the victim stopped trying to get free. Suspect two then asked victim two for his phone, which he gave him. Both suspects left on their bikes. The value of the property stolen is £350.

Suspect one, described as black 16 year-old male about 5’5” with a medium build and dark brown eyes. He was wearing a black hooded waterproof jacket with black trousers and was riding a silver and black mountain bike.

Suspect two, described as a black 15 year-old male about 5’3” thin build; with a short Afro haircut. He was wearing a grey and black top and was riding a red bike that was a thinner bike than the bike suspect one was riding.

Location: Clifford House, Edith Villa’s, W14

Victim is a 79 year-old female who was at her home when someone buzzed on the intercom system, the victim answered the buzzer and was told by the suspect that he was an engineer and had come to read her metre. The victim let him in and into her home. The suspect walked over to the meter located in the hall and looked at it, the victim however became suspicious as the suspect had no equipment with him, she confronted him and he said that the equipment was in the car. The suspect then left the premises and walked downstairs and got into a silver/grey car.

The suspect is described as a black 26 year-old male, around 6’0”, slim build, thought to be driving a silver/grey car.

Location: Binden Road, W12
Victim is a 67 year-old female who returned home where all of the lights were switched off. The victim opened her front door and started to make her way inside but as she did so she saw the suspect come running down the stairs and straight past her. The victim asked the suspect what he was doing but got no answer. The victim then went to check on another resident who is an elderly lady, before she went into her bedroom, there she discovered the cabinet drawers had been opened and her jewellery boxes searched. No jewellery appears to have been taken from them however £80 had been taken from on top of the cabinet.

Incident: Burglary
Date and Time: 27/04/05 between 09.00 am and 6.15pm
Location: Shorrolds Road, SW6
Victim is a 33 year-old male who left for work in the morning after he had locked his front door and pulled the outer front door closed on the Yale lock latch. On returning from work the victim had found the outer door closed as usual but when he entered the hall he noticed that his front door had been smashed in splitting the wood surround and smashing the mortice lock. On entering the flat the victim noticed that his living room had been disturbed, the laptop wires were left on the dining table but the laptop had gone, as had a brief case that contained various other items.

The value of the property that was stolen is £591
