A Concert for Passiontide at St Peter's

Performed by new choir Il Corpo Cantante

St Peter's Church in Black Lion Lane is hosting a Concert of Music for Passiontide this Sunday, March 22 at 7pm.

Performed by Il Corpo Cantante, the concert features works by Henry Purcell, John Blow and Pelham Humphrey.

It is directed by Ashley Stafford, with David Coram (organ)

Tickets are on sale, priced £15 from The Little Box Office or at the door.

The aim is to cover costs and the residue will go towards Il Corpo Cantante's objectives -  to enable more singers of all age groups with overlooked abilities, not simply the accidentally privileged or talented, to afford the opportunities offered, in courses, workshops and performances, to develop and learn through the unique combination of skills offered by ICC directors Ashley Stafford and Marco Ozbic.

They want more people to be able to explore the richness of vocal and musical expression, meet the challenges and gain the satisfaction in the pursuit of self-expression and creativity through music and singing.
