Godolphin and Latymer Wins Award for PE and Sport

School is one of five in UK to receive Quality Mark Award

Endorsed by the Department for Education, the afPE Quality Mark is the benchmark and industry standard for high quality. The afPE undertook a thorough learning and teaching review and evaluation of Physical Education and Sport at Godolphin and Latymer which included interviews with pupils and staff and a lesson observation.

Mrs Ruth Mercer, Head Mistress at Godolphin and Latymer School says; " We are delighted to receive a Quality Mark Award for Physical Education and Sport.

" PE and Sport at Godolphin and Latymer are an integral part of the school’s ethos and curriculum and they provide opportunities for girls to develop valuable life skills - leadership, collaboration, problem-solving and decision-making - as well as promoting the importance of a healthy lifestyle."

PE Teachers, Sophie Nicholas and Amanda Newton, were presented with the award from the Department for Education at a ceremony in Westminster on February 14.
