Craft Beer Co in Hammersmith

A new pub has transformed a dowdy empty space within Hammersmith Broadway Centre.

The Craft Beer Co. Hammersmith, which opened this week,  has given the space, formerly home to the Yardbird a spectacular transformation, as you can see above.

The pub is the ninth to be launched by the independent family business and is opening weeks ahead its tenth anniversary.

The Craft Beer Co was launched in Clerkenwell in July 2011, by two London school friends, Martin Hayes and Peter Slezak, pictured right, who say their idea was simple and that was to create a great place with an inviting atmosphere, the best products and the best service that you could find in a UK pub.

They focused on sourcing beer from far and wide, little known brewers from all over the UK and International brewers that had rarely been seen in London before.

You can find the pub and sample its range of beers at 17-18 The Broadway.

As we reported last month, it is joining a variety of new restaurants and bars situated around Bradmore Square, the courtyard on the south western edge of the centre.

They include Kindred, which has taken over the Broadway's Grade II listed Bradmore House, pictured above, after a major refurbishment.

Kindred combines a private club, offering its members a café, bar, restaurant, live events venue and co-working space, with a ground floor bar and restaurant, The Cellar, which is open to all, offering an all day menu, including brunch till 4pm, Happy Hour every day and hot sourdough pizza straight from the oven.

Neighbouring eateries in Bradmore Square are Dragon Cat Cafe bringing a taste of Taiwan to Hammersmith with a range of bubble teas and tasty wheel cakes, Korean restaurant Simya, offering a menu including favourite dishes such as Gzoya, Tempura, Chicken, Prawn and Tofu Katsu, Kimchi Ramen and Bibimbap and Sprigs Vietnamese around the corner on the outside of the centre, serving up Banh Mi, or Vietnamese Baguettes, along with favourite such as Goi Cuon, or Summer Rolls and Pho Soups.

They are joined by newcomer Chez Maiss, a restaurant and wine cafe run by Maiss and Rebal Zghaybe promising a warm welcome with all-day modern European food with a French influence, a rotating wine list, original and classic cocktails, and fresh, ethically-sourced coffee.
