Glenthorne Road Development to be Named Sovereign Court

Potential buyers invited by developer to register interest in homes

Plans for the development were approved by Hammersmith & Fulham Council’s planning committee on March 12. And though construction has yet to begin, potential buyers are already invited to register their interest in the new homes at Sovereign Court's new website

St George is now set to demolish the car park and office block, which has been empty for the past five years, to create the new homes, as well as 753 car parking spaces and 460 cycle spaces.

The developer is applying for a variety of uses for the ground floor space including shops, offices, restaurants, cafés and bars, plus community and leisure uses

The new building, which will incorporate sustainable urban drainage systems (SUDS) – including green and brown roofs where vegetation is planted on top of the buildings, will include 30% affordable housing.

St George, part of the giant Berkeley Group, is also behind three other major developments in the borough, Fulham Reach on Hammersmith Embankment and Imperial Wharf and its neighbouring site Chelsea Creek in Fulham.

The developer says Sovereign Court which it describes as "ideally located for central connections", being just 150 metres from both Hammersmith's tube stations, will offer 52 studio apartments, 106 one-bedroom flats, 216 two-bedroom apartments and 44 three-bedroom apartments. 10% of the apartments will be wheelchair accessible.
