New Shop Made in H&F Pops Up at Kings Mall

Showcasing local artists and hosting events including Hallowe'en fun night

The pop-up store has taken over an empty unit in the shopping centre next to Poundland and opposite Game.

Made in H&F is open daily, from 10am till 6pm Monday to Saturday and 11am till 5pm on Sunday, with activities such as children’s story time sessions each Saturday.

A Halloween fun night is planned on Wednesday,  31 October
and lots more themed events and activities are planned in the run up to Christmas.

Over 20 local artists, craft makers, painters, jewellery makers, hat makers, Tshirt designers and gift makers have been selected for space at the new store. They include Upholstery Collective, La Galeria Design, A Bag Less Ordinary, Sabine Fouchier, Millinery & Feltmaking, Darren Azgard and House of Immy, whose space is pictured above.

Made in H&F will initially be open till Christmas, but in future the aim is to establish a permanent outlet store showcasing the best arts and crafts produced in our borough.

HammersmithBID (Business Improvement District) have working with Hammersmith & Fulham Council to pilot the scheme, which is a welcome boost from Kings Mall after suffering the closure of two food outlets, Patisserie Valerie and Feast Canteen.

Patricia Bench, BID Director at HammersmithLondon, said: “We are passionate about
our local talent here in Hammersmith and this shop offers a great outlet for some of
our best artists and makers to promote and sell their fantastic pieces of work.

!The Made in H&F pop-up shop will be hosting some great activities for children, so
we thought opening during the half-term week was perfect timing. It is also
traditionally the time consumers start planning their Christmas shopping and Made in
H&F will be brimming with original gift ideas.

"We’ve got lots of fun things planned for the week and plenty more to come in the
run up to Christmas. We hope to see lots of you down at the shop in the next couple
of months, enjoying the best arts and crafts that Hammersmith has to offer."
