£1,500 was raised for Honeypot through its special seasonal event, It's a Wrap, which offered gift wrapping services to local shoppers in return for a small donation.

Kings Mall Centre Manager, Andrew Proctor, said he was delighted with the total raised. "We had a fantastic response and I’m thrilled with how much was donated to such an important cause.

"The charity does amazing work by providing both outreach support to vulnerable children and to those who have become young carers. It also offers them respite breaks from the demanding and stressful responsibilities they may have at home.

"All of the money that was raised will go to help fund those breaks and the support that young people need and deserve. I’m so pleased that our shoppers have proven just how generous they are."

Honeypost, whose London officer is in Blythe Road in Hammersmith offers both respite breaks and outreach support to young carers and vulnerable children, many of whom would otherwise have nowhere to turn. It says it is proud to be the only charity in the UK offering consistent support throughout childhood; from the age of 5 until a child’s 13th birthday.

Honeypot CEO Simmi Woodwal, said: "Honeypot is absolutely thrilled to have been part of the event. Not only did our supporters get the chance to have their gifts wrapped by the beautiful bespoke Abigail Warner paper prints, the team did a fantastic job at keeping Honeypot volunteers spirits high and an incredible £1500 has been raised.

"A huge thanks to everyone involved, we really enjoyed being part of this lovely festive event at Kings Mall. The money raised will go towards supporting young carers that are ages 5-12 that are living in the Hammersmith and Fulham borough."
