Come and Sow Wildflowers in Marcus Garvey Park

Park friends invite local people to join them on September 13

The Friends of Marcus Garvey Park, off North End Road are inviting local people to come along on Septermber 13 to help them sow millions of wildlflower seeds.

No experience is necessary, and all welcome! Learn about gardening and help to make a better local park, for young and old (and bees and bugs).

The park friends hold regular monthly gardening days in the park and say in August they cleared the poppy field, primped the hydrangeas and cleared the paths to our new home in the hut.

Gardening day on September 13 is from 2.30pm till 4.30pm, with  volunteers welcome to drop in any time.

Find out more on the Friends' Facebook page.
