Bush Theatre Presents RADAR

Festival of new writing runs nightly till November 21

RADAR, the Bush Theatre's annual festival of new writing is running nightly through till November 21.

Now in its third year, RADAR offers new shows, sneak peeks and a host of late night events and debates.

This year the Bush presents five of the most exciting and innovative new shows from across the UK, featuring artists including Hetain Patel, Chris Thorpe and Brigitte Aphrodite alongside companies including Unlimited Theatre, Lip Sink, Two Destination Language and Bush alumni Associate Artists Iron Shoes.

Still to come from Thursday to Saturday, November 13 - 15: Am I Dead Yet? an Unlimited Theatre production Performed by Jon Spooner and Chris Thorpe as two friends, talking (and singing) about what happens when we die, how we think about dying, and most importantly, how some of us might be brought back.

From November 17 - 19: Mush and Me, by Karla Crome.
Presented by Lip Sink, Francesca Clark Productions in collaboration with Richard Jordan Productions. A Jew and a Muslim walk into a bar… People talk. Rumours spread. In Wetherspoons and hotel rooms, two young believers are reluctantly falling in love. Cultural pressures and contemporary life collide in this funny new love story.

November 20 and 21: Near Gone by Katherina Radeva and Alister Lownie, a Colchester Arts Centre commission. Two performers have a difficult story to tell. They come on stage and launch themselves into an hour long attempt to put into words the utterly unspeakable. Delivered in English and Bulgarian, with pounding gypsy-inspired music, this beautiful performance fills an empty space with two performers, hundreds of fresh flowers and a storm of emotion.

No two nights are the same with different debates and late night events each evening.
