Can You Help Others by Giving Blood?

Where to find local sessions in the weeks ahead

You can help the boost stocks of blood by becoming a donor if you are generally in good health, aged between 17 and 65 and weight at least 7st 12lbs.

This summer, NHS Blood and Transport says O Rh negative (O-) and B Rh negative (B-) blood stocks are particularly low, and is urging donors from these blood groups to come forward urgently to give blood.

There are regular sessions in our local area, and donors can simply book appointments online.

The next local sessions are at:

Fulham Sir Oswald Stoll Mansions - Friday September 13 - 2pm - 4.30pm and 5.30pm - 8pm

Charing Cross Hospital - Monday September 23 - 9am - 11.30am and 12.45pm - 3.15pm

If you would like to give blood, you can call the National Blood Service on 0300 123 23 23 or visit the website.

The service offers this information about online bookings:

Please note that appointments booked from the website have to be processed manually upon receipt by the Contact Centre.

Appointments made this way are processed Monday to Friday between 9am - 5pm only.

If your appointment is very soon, please ensure there is enough time for them to make the appointment for you.
