Can You Help Others by Giving Blood?

Find local sessions and book appointments at new look website

The NHS Blood and Transplant website blood.co.uk, has gone self-service.

The site has had a revamp allowing people to make the right decisions about donation and to manage their
appointments quickly and effectively.

Blood donors can now create their own personal account
which links to their existing blood donation records. This meant they can book, amend or cancel their own appointments online.

You can help the boost stocks of blood by becoming a donor if you are generally in good health, aged between 17 and 65 and weight at least 7st 12lbs.

Right now, the NHS Blood and Transplant Service says O- and B- blood stocks are low, and people with these blood groups are asked to donate. Extra walk-in sessions are now available or you can book an appointment.

The next local sessions are at:

Fulham Sir Oswald Stoll Mansions - Friday, May 23, 2pm - 4.30pm and 5.30pm - 8pm. You can make appointments for this session, or just walk in.

If you would like to give blood, you can call the NHS Blood and Transplant Service on 0300 123 23 23 or visit the website.
