Prolific Burglar Gets Sentenced For Christmas

Terry Marsh convicted of 19 residential burglaries in the local area

A local man has been sentenced to 4½ years imprisonment after being found guilty of 19 residential burglaries in the local area.

Terry Marsh was arrested by Hammersmith Police in September and charged with two residential burglaries. However, working closely with officers from neighbouring boroughs, Police were able to charge Marsh with a further 17 offences - 11 in Chiswick, four in Hammersmith, three in Ealing and one in Hounslow.

Cheif Inspector Dave Osbourne said, "Marsh was very active committing crimes on a daily basis. He not only caused a great deal of heartache for the victims but also caused a great deal of damage inside the properties.

"He gave no thought to his own or members of public safety and went to great lengths to avoid arrest."

Police believe that the sentence brought about as a direct result of the "outstanding work done by Hammersmith and Hounslow burglary squad officers" reflects the magnitude of Marsh's offending history.
