Have You Seen 'Night Flight'?

Police are appealing for information on the theft of this painting

Between 7pm on Friday 21 March and 9am on Monday 24 March a painting called "Night Flight" by Sergei Chepik (dark in colour with a mainly black, blue, orange, purple and grey colour palate which shows people standing around a tall elaborate gate) was taken from premises at Westminster Business Square on Durham Street SE11.

The painting is approximately three feet square and was in a gold and black frame.

The painting was not on display but was kept in a silver art bag and leaning against a wall in an office when it was stolen.

Detective Constable Anne Hogarth, Lambeth CID, said: 'The painting had been on display at the Catto Gallery in Hampstead in February in a retrospective exhibition of the artist's work and had been temporarily stored in the business premises and was to be returned to the owner's home when it was stolen. We are appealing for any information from the public who may have seen this recognisable piece of artwork to come forward".

"If you have any information please contact Lambeth CID on 0208 649 2153 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
