Lena Gardens fire under investigation


Woman rescued from blaze by firefighters

Firefighters are investigating the cause of a fire in Lena Gardens on January 4.

Four fire engines and 20 firefighters battled the blaze which damaged about a quarter of the four-bedroom flat on the ground floor.

Fire crews wearing breathing apparatus rescued a woman from the flat. She was treated for smoke inhalation.

Fire station crews from Hammersmith, North Kensington and Hillingdon fire stations were called to the scene at 11.17pm and had extinguished the flames after an hour.
