Details of service changes on tubes and trains

If you are planning to travel this weekend 23/24 March, most of the network will be in operation but please check if any of the following works will affect you.

There is no service on Sunday after 8pm between Edgware Road and Hammersmith. This is to allow for the movement of engineering trains as part of the works on the eastern sections of the District and Hammersmith & City lines

The westbound platform at Lloyd Park is closed this weekend to allow for platform paving reconstruction work

All lines in the Twickenham area will be closed all day Saturday and Sunday. There will be no train service between Barnes and Feltham / Hounslow or between Barnes and Teddington.

Saturday service

  • Trains between London Waterloo and Reading will be diverted, calling at Hounslow instead of Richmond and Twickenham.
  • Trains between London Waterloo and Windsor & Eton will be diverted between Barnes and Feltham and will make extra stops.
  • Bus services will run between Barnes and Hounslow via Richmond to connect with the above train services.
  • “Kingston Loop” services will be altered to run between London Waterloo and Shepperton via Wimbledon. Bus services will run between Teddington and Barnes to connect with these trains.
  • “Hounslow Loop” stations will only be served by the Weybridge via Staines services. Some will also be served by the altered Reading and Windsor trains.


Sunday service

  • Trains between London Waterloo and Reading will be diverted, calling at Hounslow instead of Richmond and Twickenham.
  • An hourly train service will run between London Waterloo and Windsor & Eton, calling at Hounslow instead of Richmond and Twickenham.
  • Bus services will run between Barnes and Hounslow to connect with the above train services.
  • “Kingston Loop” services will be altered to run between London Waterloo and Shepperton via Wimbledon. Bus services will run between Teddington and Barnes to connect with these trains.
