Transport Disruption This Weekend


Local train services affected by engineering works

If you are planning to travel this weekend, July 26 and July 27, the following lines are affected by engineering works.

Sunday 27 July

The lines between Clapham Junction and Barnes will be closed all day Sunday for bridge repairs.

South West Trains services will use platforms 5 - 8 at Vauxhall and platforms 7 - 11 at Clapham Junction.

  • Trains to and from Reading will be diverted between Clapham Junction and Twickenham, running via Wimbledon and Kingston.
  • An hourly service will run between London Waterloo and Windsor & Eton. This will be diverted between Clapham Junction and Twickenham, calling at all stations via Wimbledon and Kingston.
  • An hourly service will run between Barnes and Windsor & Eton via Richmond.
  • A shuttle train service will run between Barnes and Kingston.
  • The “Kingston Loop” train service will not run. Passengers should use the altered train services above.
  • Train services will run between Barnes and Woking via Hounslow.
  • A shuttle bus service will run between Clapham Junction and Barnes for local journeys. Passengers for longer distance journeys should, where possible, use the through trains to Reading and Windsor.
  • Queenstown Road station will have no service and passengers should use other stations nearby.

Sunday 27 July

Until 11.15am approximately, no service between Clapham Junction / Richmond and Camden Road (via West Hampstead). Use the District line between Richmond and Gunnersbury, and local London Buses and London Underground services for travel between Clapham Junction / Gunnersbury and Willesden Junction.

Replacement buses operate between Willesden Junction and Camden Road, with trains operating via an alternative route from Willesden Junction, Low Level Platforms to Stratford calling at Kensal Green, Queen's Park, Kilburn High Road, South Hampstead, Camden Road and all stations
