Forthcoming Transport Disruption

Train and tube services affected by engineering works

If you are planning to travel over the next few weekends the following lines are affected by engineering works.

Sunday 13 November

Some lines between London Waterloo and Clapham Junction (including about half of London Waterloo station) and all South West Trains lines in the Wimbledon and Surbiton areas will be closed all day Sunday for renewal and maintenance work.

No train services will run between Clapham Junction and Weybridge via Surbiton, or between Clapham Junction and Kingston via Wimbledon.

South West Trains services will use platforms 3 to 6 at Clapham Junction and platforms 1 to 4 at Vauxhall. Many trains will leave London Waterloo from different platforms to normal - please check displays at station.

A limited train service to routes via Epsom will run from platform 1 at Raynes Park.

The following trains will run to and from London Waterloo but make additional stops or use alternative routes with longer journey times. Many services will start earlier than normal from London Waterloo:

  • Between London Waterloo and Weymouth.
  • Between London Waterloo and Poole / Portsmouth via Eastleigh. Trains will join and divide at Eastleigh all day.
  • One train every two hours between London Waterloo, Salisbury and Exeter.
  • Between London Waterloo and Portsmouth via Haslemere.
  • An hourly service between London Waterloo and Basingstoke / Alton.
  • Between London Waterloo and Shepperton via Richmond (altered service).
  • Between London Waterloo and Ascot (see also work between Ascot and Reading).
  • Between London Waterloo and Windsor & Eton Riverside. One train an hour will run on this route throughout the day.
  • Between London Waterloo and Woking via Hounslow and Staines.

The following services will be altered as shown below and passengers may need to change trains to complete their journeys:

  • Trains will run between Raynes Park and Dorking / Guildford via Epsom. Passengers use replacement bus services between Clapham Junction and Raynes Park or Southern train services between Clapham Junction and Epsom.
  • Trains between London Waterloo and Shepperton will run via Richmond instead of via Wimbledon.
  • “Kingston Loop” trains will only run between London Waterloo and Kingston via Richmond. Replacement buses will run between Clapham Junction and Kingston via Wimbledon.
