Transport Disruption This Weekend
Train and tube services affected by engineering works
If you are planning to travel over the next few weekends the following lines are affected by engineering works.
Saturday 21 January
Some lines between London Waterloo and Clapham Junction (including about half of London Waterloo station) will be closed all day Saturday for preliminary work on the major station improvement project. A reduced train service will run in and out of London Waterloo on the lines which remain open.
South West Trains services will use platforms 1 to 4 at Vauxhall. Many trains will leave London Waterloo from different platforms to normal - please check displays at station or see here. Queenstown Road station will have no service and passengers should use other stations nearby.
The many trains will run to and from London Waterloo but make additional stops or use alternative routes with longer journey times. Many services will start earlier than normal from London Waterloo. Some long distance services towards London Waterloo will be diverted after Woking with later arrival times at Clapham Junction and London Waterloo.
The following services will be altered as shown below and passengers may need to change trains to complete their journeys.
• Trains will run between Wimbledon and Guildford via Epsom, also between Wimbledon and Chessington.
• “Kingston Loop” trains will only run between Clapham Junction and Kingston via Twickenham.
• A revised timetable will run to and from Hounslow.
Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 January
No service between Clapham Junction and Willesden Junction. Please use local London Buses services instead.
Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 February
No service between Aldgate and Edgware Road (via Victoria).
Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 February
No service throughout the entire line. Use the Circle line between Hammersmith and Liverpool Street
Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 February
No service between High Street Kensington and Edgware Road, or between Earl's Court and Kensington Olympia.
On Sunday only, a replacement bus service will operateEarl's Court - Kensington (Olympia) - West Kensington - West Brompton - Earl's Court.
Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 February
No service between Hammersmith and Tower Hill. A special Circle line service operates between Edgware Road and Barking (via Victoria)
Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 February
No service throughout the entire line. Use the Circle line between Hammersmith and Liverpool Street
No planned engineering works
