Forthcoming Disruption on Public Transport


Tubes and trains affected by engineering works

Circle Line

Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 September

No service between Edgware Road and Hammersmith. Please use local London Underground and London Buses services.

South West Trains

Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 September

Some lines between London Waterloo and Clapham Junction (including about half of London Waterloo station) will be closed all day Saturday and Sunday for work on the Waterloo & South West Upgrade project. A reduced train service will run in and out of London Waterloo on the lines which remain open.

South Western Railway services will use platforms 1 to 4 at Vauxhall. Many trains will leave London Waterloo from different platforms to normal - please check displays at station.

Queenstown Road station will have no service and passengers should use other stations nearby.

Vauxhall station will have a reduced train service and passengers for some routes will need to change trains at Clapham Junction.

Many train services will run to and from London Waterloo on the lines which remain open but will make additional stops or use alternative routes with longer journey times. Most services will run to revised timetables. Some long distance services towards London Waterloo will be diverted after Woking with longer journey times to Clapham Junction and London Waterloo.

The following services will be altered as shown below and passengers may need to change trains to complete their journeys.

Saturday 16 September

Trains will run between Wimbledon and Guildford via Epsom.
Trains will run between Wimbledon and Chessington South.
Shuttle train services will run between Surbiton and Hampton Court / Guildford via Cobham.
There will be no South Western Railway service between London Waterloo and Dorking. Please use Southern services, changing at Epsom or Clapham Junction.
“Kingston Loop” trains will only run between Kingston and London Waterloo via Twickenham. Please use Shepperton services for travel via Wimbledon .
There will be no circular service via Hounslow and Twickenham. Please use other train services.

Sunday 17 September

Trains will run between Wimbledon and Dorking, also between Wimbledon and Guildford via Epsom.
Trains will run between Wimbledon and Chessington.
Shuttle train services will run between Surbiton and Hampton Court / Guildford via Cobham.
Buses will replace all trains in the Twickenham area.

Additional work early Sunday morning will affect some suburban services until about 9.30am with some additional bus replacement services running. Please check on-line Journey Planners before travelling.

Circle Line

Saturday 30 September and Sunday 1 October

No service between Baker Street and Hammersmith / High Street Kensington.

District line

Saturday 30 September and Sunday 1 October

No service between High Street Kensington and Edgware Road.

Before 0900 and after 2100 each day, no service between Earl's Court and Kensington (Olympia)



Saturday 30 September and Sunday 1 October

No service between Baker Street and Hammersmith.
