Forthcoming Disruption on Public Transport

During the coronavirus outbreak do not use public transport unless your journey is essential. If you do travel you must wear a face mask.

Due to the Covid-19 virus, the following service changes will be in place until further notice:

  • Waterloo & City line service,
  • No Night Tube or Night Overground service,
  • A reduced service is operating on all London Underground, London Overground, DLR, TfL Rail and London Trams.
  • Some stations will be closed. 

TfL says this information changes frequently. Check before you travel.

There are bus strikes planned on Thursday 15 April. They are likely to affect bus services across west and southwest London

The strikes will affect buses run by London United, including some night and school routes.

Buses run by other operators (inluding London Sovereign) will run as normal.

Services will return to normal from 6:00am on Friday 16 April.

Bus routes likely to be affected by the strikes

Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 April

All services from London Waterloo will run to revised timetables.

Some lines between London Waterloo and Queenstown Road will be closed all day Saturday and in the Wimbledon area all day Sunday for maintenance work.

Platforms 1-10 at London Waterloo will be closed.

Queenstown Road will be closed all weekend. Berrylands will be closed all day Sunday. Passengers should use other nearby stations.

TFL RAIL

Saturday 17 April

From 2100, a reduced service operates between Paddington and Heathrow, and trains do not call at Acton Main Line, West Ealing and Hanwell.

Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 April

The lines in the Hounslow area will be closed all day Saturday and Sunday for maintenance work.

Saturday

London Waterloo to London Waterloo via Hounslow services will not run.

London Waterloo to Weybridge via Hounslow services will be diverted between Barnes and Feltham calling at all stations.

Buses will run between Barnes and Twickenham via Hounslow.

Sunday

London Waterloo to Woking via Hounslow and Staines services will be diverted between Barnes and Feltham calling additionally at Richmond and Twickenham. Buses will run between Barnes and Feltham via Hounslow.

The afternoon and evening services between London Waterloo and Kingston via Hounslow will not run. Buses will run between Barnes and Twickenham via Hounslow in the afternoon and evening only.

District line

Saturday 24 April, until 0800

No service between Earls Court and West Ham.

Saturday 24, from 0800, and all day Sunday 25 April

No service between Monument and Sloane Square.

Circle line engineering works

Saturday 24 April, until 0800

No service between Edgware Road and Aldgate (via Victoria)

Saturday 24, from 0800, and all day Sunday 25 April

No service between Monument and Sloane Square.

Hammersmith and City Line
