Local Teens Charged With Murder


Accused of stabbing Southall student

Three youths and two men have been charged in connection with the fatal stabbing of Southall student Yasin Abdirahman.

The 22-year-old was stabbed near Navigator Drive in Southall on 3 September.

Ashley Quashie-Panwall, 18, and a boy of 15 were charged with murder. Richard Mark, 19, and two youths were charged with conspiracy to commit GBH.

Mr Quashie-Panwall and a boy of 16 from Acton - one of those on a conspiracy charge - will appear before Ealing Magistrates.

The 15-year-old from West Ealing who was charged with murder, Mr Mark, of Vespan Road, Hammersmith, and the other youth facing the conspiracy charge were remanded in custody after they appeared at the same court on Tuesday.

Mr Abdirahman, who had lived in the UK since 1990, was taken to hospital where he died. Police said he was not involved in criminality.

Two other youths, aged 15 and 17 have already appeared in court charged with Mr Abdirahman's murder.
