Addison Singers Hold Jazz Workshop


Fun afternoon for anyone interested in singing

Hammersmith-based choir the Addison Singers are holding a Jazz Workshop on September 8 open to everyone interested in singing.

The workshop is led by Jill Jarman, jazz pianist, composer and Addison Jazz Choir Director who brings together a talented team of people working in world music, improvisation and vocal technique.

The emphasis for this workshop is on group performance with sessions concentrating on aspects of performance, improvisation, vocal technique and musical styles.

Over the afternoon participants will rotate through a series of three sessions with three different tutors, before coming together as a group to sing a short piece that they have learnt in the sessions.

The Addison Singers say if you enjoy singing and want a fun and informative afternoon, they would love you to come along and join in.

The workshop will cost £20 for four hours of tuition and will be held on Sunday September 8 starting at 2pm til 6pm.
