Can You Help Make H &F ArtsFest a Big Success?

Organisers want individuals and businesses to get involved

The organisers of Hammersmith and Fulham first Arts Festival are looking for individual and business supporters to help make ArtsFest as big as possible.

Plans are already in place for the ArtsFest to have two or three live events of its own throughout the festival week.

Scheduled to take place from June 8-15, ArtsFest organisers alre already working with local groups and organisations to develop plans for the festival, which has received £5,000 funding from H&F Council’s Fast Track grants scheme.

Riverside Studios, the Lyric and Bush Theatres, Nomad Books, Albert & Friends’ Instant Circus, jazz venue The 606 Club, Addison Singers, Acava Studios, W11 Opera, Regenerated Space for Art, the Macbeth Centre and Twice as Nice Comedy have already signed up to be part of the new festival – and ArtsFest’s chairman, Cathy Robertson, wants even more people to get involved.

Cllr Greg Smith, deputy leader of H&F Council and cabinet member for residents’ services, said: “ArtsFest promises to be a fantastic opportunity to shine a spotlight on the many cultural delights H&F has to offer.

“I’d encourage anyone who’s interested in exploring their artistic side to contact the ArtsFest team and find out how they could get involved and support this new festival.”

The dedicated ArtsFest website – www.hf-artsfest.com – is now live, and contains a directory of all the arts-focused events and activities taking place during the week, as well as providing information about the events.

And of course, we will keep you posted on all the festival's events and activities.

For more information on how to become involved, or to become an event sponsor, please contact Cathy Robertson on crobertson@hf-artsfest.com.
