Cheers and Boos for Local Buildings

The Hammersmith Society Environment Awards Nominations 2008

The Hammersmith Society has received some interesting nominations for its annual Environment Awards this year and choosing a winner is going to be a difficult job for the judging committee.

The Hammersmith Society Environment Award, which is made to a development that the society feel best meets their ideals of preserving and enhancing the architecture and amenities of quality in Hammersmith.

A second award, the Nancey Goulden Award, is given for smaller schemes which have improved the local environment in some way - be it through a building or landscaping.

The Jane Mercer Award For Co-Operation, Collaboration And Consultation is a new award only made for the first time in 2006 and given for initiatives of benefit to Hammersmith which have involved proactive co-operation, collaboration and communication.
