Police have named the motorcyclist who died after a collision with a car in North End Road on Monday March 4.
Joshua Downing, 26, was fatally injured after his Triumph motorcycle collided with an Audi A3 at the junction of North End Road and Star Road at around 9.40pm on March 4.
The driver of the car stopped at the scene.
Mr Downing was taken to St Mary’s Hospital where he died from his injuries the next day.
A post-mortem examination on Friday gave his cause of death as blunt force trauma.
Detective Sergeant Jeff Edwards, who is leading the investigation into the accident, says: " I am grateful to a number of people who stopped at the scene to assist both the casualty and other driver that night.
" Despite this being evening time, this stretch of road was fairly busy with commuters and I would urge anyone who may have seen any of the parties in the moments leading up to the collision, or the collision itself, to contact police."
