Transport Police wish to talk to man following attack on Polish woman

The woman was travelling on a westbound District Line train shortly after midnight on 22 August when a man started an argument with her. During the altercation, he made reference to the fact she was from Poland.

When the train stopped at Hammersmith, the man then punched her in the face, knocking her to the ground.

Investigating officer Det Con Denis Mahoney said: “Violence and hate crime have no place on our transport system and we are committed to stamping them out.

“Behaviour of this kind is completely unacceptable and so I urge anyone who recognises this man to get in touch with us.”
