Bill Bailey's Chihuahua Pablo is Safely Back Home

Comedian thanks supporters after little dog lost on Hammersmith Grove is returned

Comedian Bill Bailey and his family have been reunited with their much loved chihuahua Pablo.

Bill's appeal for help finding Pablo, who went missing last Sunday from their home in Hammersmith Grove, had both local people and his army of followers on Twitter anxious for the little dog's safety - especially as Pablo needs regular medication.

But on Friday evening, there was relief all round as Bill tweeted @BillBailey: " Great news, Pablo our missing chihuahua has been found and returned safe and well!

"Thanks to all the fine folk @DogslostUK , and to the local help from @LBHF and @hammersmithandy and @MetroUK , plus a huge thank you to all of you who have sent messages of support and goodwill, and practical suggestions to recover a lost dog.

"I know it’s insignificant in the wider scheme of things, a little dog is lost, then found, but I have really been overwhelmed by people’s kindness and concern.

"Twitter can sometimes do that, reveal what I know to be true, and that is, people’s essential goodness. From me, the family and especially Pablo, graçias! "

Bill's tweet was greeted with delight by dozens of his dog loving followers on Twitter, and on Pablo's page on DogLost, the message that he had been reunited with his family was also warmly received.

Bill made similar appeals for help five years ago when a Cockatiel called Titch went missing and seven years ago, when another dog called Teddi - a Bali Dingo rescued from Bali - went on a walkabout. That search also had a happy ending for Bill and his wife Kris when they were able to collect Teddi from Battersea Dogs' Home.
