Nudel is Top Dog at Ravenscourt Park Show

120 proud owners parade their pets at fun event

Nudel the miniature Dachshund scored a double at the Ravenscourt Park Dog show on Saturday August 31, after winning both best pedigree dog and overall Best in Show for his owner Siobhan Martin.

Around 500 people turned out to watch 120 dogs and owners compete in a variety of categories.

Murphy snapped up the coveted best puppy award along with owner Sonia Gowler.

The fun event, which is organised by the council’s Parks Police, also had a serious side with eight dogs micro-chipped on the day and tips and advice available from the Dogs Trust and parks police.

Cllr Greg Smith, H&F Council deputy leader, said: "This was the second annual dog show in Ravenscourt Park and it was fantastic that so many dog lovers came along to enjoy the park and show off their faithful friends.

The show also raised £350 for the Dogs Trust.
