Could You Foster a Child in 2019?

Potential carers invited to monthly information events

Could you become a foster carer?

Three local boroughs, the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, The London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham and Westminster City Council joined their adoption and fostering services in April 2012 to provide a dedicated service for adoption and fostering.

You can find out more by going along to one of the regular fostering information events taking place this autumn where you will have the opportunity to find out more about fostering in person from a social worker and/or a foster care.

The event will include a powerpoint presentation and therefore it is important to arrive at the schedule time. You will also have the opportunity to raise any questions you have with a social worker or foster care at the event.

The next fostering events, beginning in January 2019 are as follows:

Thursday, 10 January, 10am - noon - Hammersmith Town Hall, King Street

Thursday 14 February, 10am - noon - 5 Strand, WC2

To book a place at one of these events, you can register
online or call either 0800 169 3497 or 020 8753 1057 for more information.

H&F Council's fostering team also holds drop-in sessions where you can find out more about fostering. You will have the chance to ask questions and discuss them with a social worker on a one-to-one basis.

Sessions are held on the first Wednesday of every month between 10am and 4pm at Hammersmith Town Hall, 1st Floor, King Street, London W6 9JU.

Please come to the reception on the first floor of the Town Hall Extension and ask to speak to a member of the fostering team, who will then come and meet you.
