Celebrate LGBT History Month at Hammersmith Town Hall

All welcome at free concert by Londopn Gay Symphonic Winds

LGBT History Month is being celebrated on Wednesday 27 February with a free concert by gay musicians at Hammersmith Town Hall.

Everyone is welcome to this free event, backed by H&F Council.

London Gay Symphonic Winds is an LGBT orchestra made up of approximately 40 woodwind, brass and percussion players. You can find out more about them here.

They have an eclectic repertoire – from Abba to Elgar – so there’ll be music to suit every taste.

"We have a lot to thank the LGBTQ+ community for, our music, literature and art just wouldn't be the same," said Cllr Sue Fennimore, Deputy Leader of H&F Council.

"This concert is one of the ways we are celebrating LGBTQ+ talent and we’d love for you to join us."

The concert runs from 5.30pm to 7pm and you can book your free place here

People are reflecting on the discrimination faced by the LGBTQ+ community as well as celebrating their achievements and culture throughout February. You can find out more about LGBT History Month here.
