Help Shape the Future of Borough's Childcare Services

Give your views in council's survey and you could win a John Lewis voucher

These services include 16 children's centres as well as projects run by schools, charities and private organisations.

However, the council says it knows more can be done and asks:

What would you like to see more of? What would you like to see less of? Do you get what you need when you need it? Are services and activities close enough? This is your chance to tell us.

You can have your say by filling out the survey. It will only take a few moments and everyone who takes part will be entered in to a draw for a £500 John Lewis voucher of one of five £100 vouchers.

"We have an ambitious aim to make sure everyone in H&F has a stake in its prosperity and for no-one to be left behind – and for most families that means access to affordable, reliable childcare," said Cllr Sue Macmillan, Cabinet Member for Children and Education.

"We have some fantastic nurseries and childminders in the borough, but too many people are struggling to find a place that suits them. We need to think bigger and better. So today we’re launching a genuine and open debate on what we can do to improve things.

"To fix a problem, you have to understand it first. That’s why first-hand experiences from the people using local services, or struggling to find a place, are essential. The door is open, so if you want to change things, we need you to take part."

If you prefer, you can also pick up a hard copy of the survey at children’s centres, libraries, and nurseries. The survey's closing date is 31 December.
