Another Crop of Outstanding Results for Godolphin Girls

Hammersmith school "delighted with excellent achievements"

Godophin and Latymer School has released a statement celebrating its students' A level achievements.

" Once again, we offer congratulations to all our girls on their well-deserved success.  Of our 87 A-level candidates, the vast majority will take up places next month at their first choice of universities in the UK, the USA or Canada, and we wish them continued success in their Higher Education courses.

" The overall percentage of A* or A grades achieved was extremely impressive with a cumulative total of 74.1%. This compares with a third successive fall in the national average to 26% at A* or A grade. Overall, 23% of students achieved 2 or more A* grades, and over 40% of the girls gained A* or A grades in all their subjects.

" A number of our students undertook the Extended Project Qualification with outstanding results. Overall, 83% of candidates gained either A* or A grades for their independent research projects.

" Earlier this summer, our cohort of IB students received their results.  These too were outstanding, with the school’s highest ever average point score of 41 points per student (the international average is 29.8).

" We are delighted by these excellent achievements and are very proud of all of our students.

" We are particularly pleased that the girls have performed so well, given that they spend much time contributing to the school’s extensive extra-curricular programme and give generously of their time in support of others."
