St Peter's Primary Pupils Release Festive CD

Aiming to raise funds for much needed school improvements

The children of St Peter’s CE Primary in Hammersmith are releasing the school’s first ever music CD on December 15.

Over 100 children have taken part in recording sessions at The Grove Studios and the school has also run an art competition for pupils to design the final CD cover artwork.

The CD features festive treats such as Let it Go from Disney's hit Frozen, I wish it could be Christmas every day by Wizzard and traditional Christmas carols Silent Night and Away in a Manger.

The CD is the first of many fundraising activities for the school’s building project. known as the Keystone Fund. All proceeds from this and future Keystone Fund activities will go towards the £295,000 necessary for much needed improvements within the school, including new computers, a learning kitchen, dedicated art room, new school hall and redeveloping outside spaces.

" We are really delighted to launch this once in a lifetime project that not only will help towards the much needed efforts of developing the school buildings, but also see the community, children, parents and alumni come together in celebration of St Peter’s heritage going back as far as 1849," says Headteacher Jean Shipton.

If you know a parent, grandparent or past pupil at St Peter’s CE Primary, pop a CD in their stocking this Christmas. For more details, email admin@stpetersce.lbhf.sch.uk.

Mums and dads can order the CD through the school's Parentmail or by leaving a cheque maid payable to St Peter's Keystone Fund at reception. The CD will be ready for collection from December 15.
