Make the Most of the Holidays with Summer in the City

Council publishes guide to hundreds of activities for young people

Summer in the City is now available, detailing hundreds of summer events, groups, camps and clubs for children and young people in H&F and across west London.

Now in its fifth year, the 112-page guide has become a must-have summer planner for working parents and young fun-seekers alike.

" We want to make sure children in H&F have a wide range of activities to pick from this summer," says Cllr Sue Macmillan, Cabinet Member for Children and Education in Hammersmith & Fulham.

"Nearly all the activities in Summer in the City are free, and I hope the guide will help make the upcoming school holidays rewarding and memorable."

For the first time, all of the Summer in the City events will also be published online with a slick new website

It means that parents can search the full database of activities to find the perfect drama course or soccer school on the go – and even check where the events will take place on the site’s interactive maps.

"With free West End theatre performances, festivals, open air cinema, nature trails and video design, there’s little chance of being bored," says Rahima Begum, UK Youth Parliament Member for Hammersmith & Fulham.

Copies can be collected at local schools, libraries, youth clubs and the town hall. For more details, go to My Summer in the City.
