District Line Service Restored between Acton Town and Ealing Broadway

As investigation is launched over train derailment on Tuesday night

District Line services between Acton Town and Ealing Broadway have been restored, but with severe delays, at around 11am on Wednesday morning, March 2 after being suspended following the derailment of a train at Ealing Broadway on Tuesday night.

There was no service during this morning's rush hour between the station and Acton Town following the incident, which involved a train carrying a small number of passengers.

Steve White, Operations Director for the District line, said: "Following a signal failure towards the end of service last night, a District line train approaching Ealing Broadway station subsequently became derailed as it crossed a set of points.

"No one was injured in this incident and our engineers are working closely with the Rail Accident Investigation Branch on site to investigate."
