Become a Busy Bee and Help Improve Marcus Garvey Park

Volunteers invited to drop in on second Sunday of every month

Marcus Garvey Park, off North End Road close to Hammersmith Road now has a community gardening group which meets on the second Sunday of every month to clean up the park, water the existing plants and grow new ones.

The group, who have the support of local schools Avonmore Primary and St James Girls School as well as local councillor Joe Carlebach are keen to encourage extra volunteers to come along and join them, with the promise of tea and cakes for all who help!

Volunteers can drop in any time between 2pm and 4pm at the following Sundays:

August 11, September 8, October 13, November 10 and December 8.

For more information, visit the Marcus Garvey Community Garden's Facebook page or its page on Project Dirt.
