Shepherd's Bush's First Summer Comedy Festival Launches in June

Four days of fun with top comics plus free workshops and performances for families

Shepherd's Bush's first Summer Comedy Festival launches at the Bush Theatre in June.

The four day long weekend festival, running from 1-4 June, will see some of comedy’s top names appear at the newly-renovated theatre, including Nina Conti, pictured above, Shaun Keaveny, Tim Key, Joseph Morpurgo, Geins Family Giftshop, Sunday Assembly, Bring Your Own Baby, Tom Allen, Spencer Jones and Standard Guilty Feminist.

The event will also feature free comedy workshops and performances for children and families.

You can see the full programme and book tickets on the Bush Theatre's website.

"The Bush Theatre is delighted to be supporting the borough’s first comedy festival,” says Jon Gilchrist, Executive Director of the Bush Theatre. "

We’re excited to continue our mission of supporting new writing in all its forms. We also hope the festival will encourage Shepherd's Bush residents who haven’t visited the theatre before to try it for the first time."

The new festival is being launched by H&F Council in partnership with the Bush and PBJ Management.

The Bush Theatre, at 7 Uxbridge Road, reopened in March after a year long refurbishment, which revamped the main theatre, add a studio and made the entire premises accessible for the first time, and is currently enjoying critical acclaim with its first production, Guards at the Taj, directed by Jamie Lloyd.
