Police get extended stop and search powers following incident

A teenager has been taken to hospital after being stabbed outside Shepherd’s Bush Market tube station on Monday evening (2 March).

The police say they were called to the scene at 6.36pm where they found the victim, believed to be either 17 or 18, with a knife wound.

The latest update is that his condition is not life-threatening.

Following the incident the police applied and were granted a Section 60 order which gave them temporarily increased stop and search powers in the Shepherd’s Bush area.

No arrests have been made so far in connection with the incident.

The Uxbridge Road was closed for a time on Monday evening leading to extra traffic in the W12 area but has since reopened.
