Cyclist Dies More Than A Month After Parkside Collision


Police have named the man who has died since the rush-hour accident

A cyclist who was involved in a collision with a car on Parkside in Wimbledon has died more than a month after the accident.

Detectives today named the cyclist as 29-year-old Andrew Bonham (below), from Wimbledon. He was involved in the accident just after 7am on Thursday December 20.

Officers would like to speak with anyone who saw the collision or was in the area at the time and who is yet to come forward. They would also like to hear from any motorists who may have captured the collision on dashcam.


The car involved in the collision stopped at the scene and the driver is assisting police with their enquiries.

Mr Bonham was taken to St George's Hospital with life-threatening injuries after the accident, but died on Monday (January 28).

He was a city accountant working for financial services group BNY Mellon, and was originally from Guildford.
