Delivery Driver Injured in Shepherds Bush Road


Minicab collides with forklift

A delivery driver taking straw to police horses based at Hammersmith Police Station suffered head injuries early on Monday morning after the forklift he was driving was in collision with a minicab.

The man was unloading the straw when a people carrier travelling down Shepherd's Bush Road collided with the forklift.

He was rushed to hospital following the accident, which happened at around 4.30am. Fire crews from Hammersmith were called to the scene and the road was closed off, causing long delays for people going to work on Monday morning.

Two men were taken to hospital.The driver of the forklift needed stitches to the head, but was able to return to retrieve his lorry and forklift at around 10am.

Roads were reopened after 9.30am.
